ECD Network for Kenya .

The Early Childhood Development Network for Kenya (ECDNeK) champions the rights, wellbeing, and development of young children across Kenya. The network continues to strengthen Kenya’s Early Childhood Development (ECD) ecosystem through robust advocacy, evidence generation, and multi-sector collaboration. Through a combination of national dialogues, county engagements, policy influence, and strategic partnerships, ECDNeK strengthens the ECD ecosystem and amplifies the case for increased investment in early childhood services.

The organization convenes national and county-level actors through high-impact events, including the National Childcare Dialogue Campaign, childcare policy consultations, national ECD conferences, and regional knowledge exchange engagements. ECDNeK expands its influence by strengthening partnerships with government ministries, county governments, development partners, academia, civil society, and international networks. Key initiatives include participation in harmonizing national advocacy strategies, supporting the implementation of the Community Health Promoters (CHP) curriculum, disseminating ECD systems measurement studies, and advancing nurturing care initiatives across counties.

The network enhances its internal capacity through strategic planning, mentorship programmes, research collaborations, and Board–Secretariat review meetings. Outreach and awareness efforts continue to reach millions through media engagement, webinars, and social media platforms. ECDNeK remains committed to scaling impactful interventions, strengthening county systems, and advocating for universal access to quality childcare and ECD services for all children aged 0–5 years in Kenya.

ECDNeK organizes regular webinars that prioritize and provide a platform for her members to showcase their work, innovations, research findings, programmes, and best practices in Early Childhood Development. The webinars also create opportunities for members to engage with policymakers, practitioners, researchers, and development partners, strengthening the collective voice and impact of the Early Childhood Development sector in Kenya.
