Repositioning Domestic Workers as Informal Educators: Care Economies, Child Development and Professionalisation Frameworks

This paper examines the role of domestic workers as informal early childhood educators and caregivers, highlighting their impact on child development and human capital formation. Drawing on global and African contexts, it argues for the professionalisation, training, and integration of domestic workers into formal early childhood education ecosystems.
